So What If It's an RPG World?

Volume 10, 60: Gaining Access

Volume 10, Chapter 60: Gaining Access

Sure enough, with the person on duty about to switch out with someone else their vigilance has become a lot lower.

Since they were also behind an entire army, they probably treated guard duty as a chance to relax.

Unfortunately, it never occurred to them that we would go around.

“Another boring day. But after we’re done with our duty today we’re going to leave. Listening to our superiors it sounds like the army in the front has already started to march. It won’t be a small skirmish this time but a full battle.”

One of the guards said.

“Really? But we’re in the rear of the legion. If the enemy manages to hit us here then it we’ve already lost the war and it would be fine to run.”

Another one

“Shh. Keep it quiet. We’ll face the consequences if the superiors hear us.”

“Afraid? He’s still relying on our strength. I don’t know why boss formed an alliance with these bird people. Our territory is so far away from the Demon King, I don’t understand why we’re coming over here and attacking.”

“It can’t be helped. The new leader doesn’t seemed to be satisfied with the borders of our territory. Ah, if the pervious leader of the Werewolves hadn’t died, then the young master wouldn’t be lonely and want to return to the Demon King’s city and it wouldn’t be like this.”

“Well, let’s see what happens. We’re in this situation anyways, at in worst case we can change our names again. What’s the problem?”

“There’s no problem, let’s go take a break.”

I teleported behind them and equipped the magic book so that I could shock them all at the same time.

Naturally I grabbed their mouths when I shocked them so that they couldn’t make a sound.

Because of that, the location of the electric shock was closer to their heads so the high voltage was passed across their brains. I don’t know if this is going to turn them into idiots though.

Well, it’s a good thing he isn’t dead so does he have anything to complain about?

“Elder sister, why didn’t you just kill them?”

Oyado asked as she looked at the two of them on the floor.

“Because it wasn’t necessary. Generally generally completing without killing gives better rewards.”

“Completing without killing? What does that mean?”

“That’s......it’s self cultivation.”

“Oh, in that case......big brother is definitely incredible.”

“Well......”

“No, right now you’re elder sister.”

“It’s fine.”

I laughed and shook my head.

But......

An instant later, a new message appeared.

Task Triggered

Complete the investigation without killing anyone

Quest rewards

30000 exp

3000 gold

Oh my god. What do you mean by triggering this when we’re almost at their door? Isn’t this dishonest?

Why didn’t the previous events become quests? Are you just too lazy to give quests or exp?

Oh forget it. It’s useless to think about it. It seems I still need to finish this quest.

However, a new message popped up in my terminal, an unlike those from other people the sender’s name was actually ‘world’!

(‘world’ was written in English as opposed to the normal Chinese)

......World......chan?

World-chan went as far as to post a message with an English name? What the hell?

I opened the message, and the title on it was ‘System Automatically Sends’.

And inside it......

It actually said

‘Due to insufficient understanding of the world, data is currently being collected. The creation of tasks and hints during this period will be designed according to the events experienced by [Fir]. Updates are made based on the size of the quest and the lag in completion.’

Oh my god, so World-chan isn’t controlling this world’s system but letting it run itself?

No wonder there’s been so few tasks recently. But what is World-chan going to do? Increase her understanding of the world? Could it be that World-chan’s understanding is limited to the Human World? Strange. The Demon King has definitely been in the Abyss for a long time......no, there’s the time difference between the Abyss and the Human World. In other words, the Demon King has been in the Abyss for longer than we’ve been in the Human World but it didn’t grow as much......

......

If that’s the case, then we might have come to the world at the same time, but the Demon King accidentally came to the Abyss and used her advantages to ascend to become the Demon King.

So the reason she’s been working so hard is because there’s been no quests, so her continuous farming was how she leveled up.

Un. After confirming with her, I think I understand what’s going on.

“Elder sister, what are you thinking about? We have to continue. The longer we stay here the more likely it is we’ll be found.”

“I know, come on.”

While I said this, I used the terminal to take screenshots and sent them on to Aliyah.

Whit this they should be able to map out the structure of the camp.

Following Oyado, we climbed up to the top of one of their barracks. Thankfully these demons seem to prefer wooden buildings, including in their barracks, so there was a spot that we could climb up.

After climbing up the names in the barracks became clearer. After looking at the names one by one, but there wasn’t anyone with my name.

In other words......

They weren’t in the barracks?

Oh my god, don’t tell me we came here for nothing?

I immediately sent this information on to Aliyah and the Demon King.

After all, if they aren’t here in the back of their army then they have to be somewhere else. If they went to make a sneak attack then we would be in trouble.

“Elder sister, now......what are we going to do?”

Oyado asked as she looked around.

“Let’s go I’ve recorded what’s going on here.”

“Is that so......”

Just as we were talking, the Demon King sent us a message.

‘New Quest, find a way to destroy the rear of the enemy army.’

......

I thought, looking at the task.

You’re posting your own quests now? I’m shocked......

But......

“Isn’t this meaningless? Even if you didn’t ask me, I had planed on doing that.”
