A Star Reborn: The Queen's Return

Chapter 1227 - Planetary Will

Wei Lingnan’s expression changed slightly. “She dreamt?”

“Yeah,” Gu Jinxiu said carefully. “She said she dreamt of some avatar planet and said she was going to the hospital for a drug test.”

Avatar planet?

Wei Lingnan frowned. How could it be?

In his plan, his little girl should recall her previous life, the Skatana Planet. The desolate Skatana planet was so completely different from the beautiful and delicate Avatar Planet in human movies.

What went wrong?

“What else did she say?” he asked Gu Jinxiu.

Gu Jinxiu said, “Nothing else. She should have gone to the hospital for a drug test now. She seemed to dislike people giving her drugs and even told her friend that that man was despicable and shameless.”

Wei Lingnan glanced at her, a cold light flashed in his eyes.

Gu Jinxiu’s heart jumped and she shut her mouth unconsciously.

“You go back first,” Wei Lingnan said to her. “I still have something on tonight, let Xiao Zhang send you home.”

Xiao Zhang was his assistant.

Gu Jinxiu bit her lip gently, feeling a little unsatisfied. “Lingnan, we haven’t had dinner together for a long time...”

“Go back.” His voice didn’t fluctuate.

She was so scared that she didn’t dare to make a second attempt and left quickly.

Wei Lingnan was left alone in the large office. He pondered for a long time before getting up and going out.

Xia Yingluo had returned from the hospital. All the indicators were normal and nothing happened. But she didn’t think it was right. If it wasn’t for hallucinations, was what happened last night real? She really dreamed of that Skatana star under his guidance, and felt as though that place really existed in her dreams?

Could she be crazy like him...

She restlessly returned to the training camp and had no appetite for dinner at night. She went alone to a grove on the campus and sat under a big tree in a daze. It was getting dark, and the stars lit up a little. Xia Yingluo looked up at the starry sky, and her eyes unknowingly stayed on the hole that was once the legendary Skatana Planet.

The mysterious void was like a whirlpool that sucked people in.

She looked for a long time, turning over some memories of her dream. She saw the barren cracked land, and there was some light in the mysterious deep purple cracks. She was attracted by the light and wanted to go further, but she couldn’t remember the scene in her dream. Her head was aching, and she supported her temples with her hands, trying to curb the uncomfortable feeling.

Beside her came a breeze.

The keen alertness long trained by her father and brother made her immediately turn her head. She saw a person coming out of the dark woods. The starlight shed on him, reflecting the sparkling lake water, making him look he had on a layer of purple mystery. His slender body was elegant and poised like a beast crouching out of an abyss.

She was a little nervous.

He came to her and looked down at her sitting under the tree.

Xia Yingluo settled himself, and then asked, “Wei Lingnan, why are you here?”

Wei Lingnan’s voice seemed to come from a distant time and space. “Did you dream last night?”

She froze slightly. She didn’t expect her to ask her this straight away and was a little upset. “I already told you it’s none of your business.”

“But you went to the hospital for a drug test.” Wei Lingnan pointed out the fact relentlessly. “What did you dream of?”

Xia Yingluo frowned. “It has nothing to do with you.” She didn’t like Wei Lingnan speaking to her with such an attitude, as if he was spying on her life and breaking into her hidden world. She stood up and turned to leave.

Wei Lingnan grabbed her, and before she could respond, he pressed her against the trunk behind her and kissed her.

Xia Yingluo was caught off guard. When she came to her senses, she felt his cold lips touching her, and the tip of his tongue prying open her mouth, invading it like a storm. She was anxious and reached out and pushed him hard. Although she was strong and outstanding in front of the girls, she was as weak as a sick and weak woman in front of him.

He twisted her hands behind her easily, doing whatever he wanted as if he wanted to eat her whole.

Xia Yingluo struggled like crazy. She bit him and he bit back even more fiercely. The bloody smell permeated between the lips and teeth of the two, and she couldn’t tell who it belonged to.

A long time passed.

He released her briefly, raised her chin and said in a soft and dangerous voice, “What the hell did you dream of?”

“Get lost!” She glared at him.

He sneered and didn’t spew nonsense anymore. He tore up her thin summer shirt with the raise of a hand. Under the stars, her delicate skin exuded a touching luster. She exclaimed again, covering her chest instinctively with both hands, but he didn’t care at all. He turned her over directly and took possession from behind.

She was in so much pain she was speechless, but she was imprisoned between his body and the trunk. She blacked out for a while as if the stars were leaving her. Her brain was blank and only raging emotions swept through—anger, fear, helplessness... She felt his teeth biting her ears, and he said in her ear, “Ah Luo, I don’t care what you dream of. I don’t care at all. As long as your body remembers me... it will always remember me.”

She grasped the rough tree bark weakly, in so much pain she felt she was going to die.

In her daze, fragments of images flashed across her eyes and she couldn’t tell whether it was real or illusive—a purple barren planet, an endless mist, and two half-human, half-beast monsters tumbling in the mist, as if in a life or death battle, or like they were... mating. One bit the other and removed a big chunk of meat. Blood burst like rain.

Xia Yingluo passed out.

Wei Lingnan stopped and stood just like that, holding her unconscious in his arms.

Her body was covered with bruises, some left by him, and some injuries caused by rubbing against the old trunk. His teeth marks were on her lips, as well as fine bloodstains. The stains were a ghastly sight.

He raised his hand and stroked her lips gently.

“I’m sorry, Ah Luo,” he murmured. “I didn’t want to be so anxious, but we don’t have much time left for us.” This was Earth, not their hometown. Each planet had its own planetary will, which was a huge and ancient consciousness that it had to defend its territory and prevent aliens from invading.

He and Ah Luo were both invaders on Earth and would be obliterated by the will of the planet if they were not careful.
